From 31^st October new legislation will have a huge impact on the way businesses can use emails.
New EU legislation brings in strict controls concerning how businesses can contact you.

"The use of electronic mail for the purposes of direct marketing may only be allowed in respect of subscribers who have given their prior consent."

From October 31^st you will require, in advance, the agreement of potential or existing customers to whom unsolicited email is sent regardless of any previous communication. As well as giving those who do agree to be contacted an option to opt-out.Permission cannot be gained by email. This means the only acceptable forms of agreement are through the telephone, post, and fax or through a website registration.
